Due to the large amount of space provided with our service and limitations imposed by Internet Service Providers across the country, Zazeen has created an easy and secure way to retrieve your data without consuming further monthly bandwidth with your local internet service provider..

Customers are able to ship us a standard SATA hard drive of their choice with enough capacity to hold the encrypted data which is being requested. Once we receive the hard drive, our automated systems will log-on to your server and copy the encrypted data to your hard drive. We will then ship the hard drive back to you within a few days via Fedex. The cost involved for this service is $19.95 + shipping. Shipping costs can range between $5 –$10 depending on location. Please note that this service is currently only available within Canada. In the future we may extend our shipping range to other countries.

DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS

Important: Zazeen is not responsible for hardware loss or damage during shipment or while in our possession. We will also not ship any data that is not encrypted within your TrueCrypt container.

Step 1: Create a container on your online PC. Information on how to create these containers can be found within our movie tutorials located at http://zazeen.com/Tutorials.html Remember that TueCrypt containers consume the total set size on the hard drive. Eg. If you create a 100GB container it will use 100GB of total hard drive space even though there is no data inside of it.  It is recommended that you create this new container before downloading/uploading any data to your Online PC.  Once the container is created you can simply mount the container and drop all the data directly into that container folder.  This will not use up any additional space on your system and once you unmount the container all data inside will remain encrypted. It is also important to remember that the password you choose to encrypt your container file is not known by anyone and due to the nature of the encryption there is no way to decrypt the content without that passphrase. If you lose this password you will not be able to access the data in the container.

This encrypted file container must be created and stored on your desktop.The container should also contain the word encrypt within its name. Automation scripts require the filename to contain the word encrypt so that they can be found and copied to the hard drive that you supply. Please note that any information residing outside of this container will not be copied.  Furthermore, if the container name does not contain the word encrypt within the name then no data will be copied and the hard drive will be returned to the customer. Fees are still applicable.

Step 2: Once the container is created simply mount the container using TrueCrypt and copy into that location all the data you wish to have sent to you.  Once you have copied all the desired data unmount the container to make it available for copy. We are not able to copy encrypted container files while they are still mounted. Also it is important to keep in mind that as long as the container file is mounted it is not encrypted and anyone having access to your online PC can easily see its contents.

Step 3: Prepare an SATA hard drive for shipping by formatting the hard drive to remove all existing data. Please note this must be a SATA hard drive not an IDE. IDE drives are not compatible with our hot swap systems.

Step 4: Send us a SATA hard drive through any desired shipping method or drop off at our head office location. Packaging is at the customer’s discretion however we recommend a lot of padding to keep non solid state hard drives safe during shipment.

Step 6: Once the hard drive is in our possession Zazeen will prepare the hard drive for transfer. During this preparation the hard drive(s) are once again formatted for internal compatibility. Once the hardware format has been completed we will begin the transfer of data to your hard drive.

Step 7: Once we have finished the transfer we will package up the hard drive and ship it back to you via Fedex. It will take approximately 2 -3 business days for the hard drive to be returned however it may take longer depending on the amount of data being transferred.
